[Introduction]
Palm of the Hand Stories is collection of a short stories consisting of 122 short stories. Four young filmmakers now bring the best of this collection to a new type of omnibus film.

[Synopsis]
The first story The man who does not laugh is about a writer and his bedridden wife who always asks her husband to pat her legs. The second story Thank you is of a prostitute Kikuko who remembers the day when she was sold to this town, the bus she rode and it’s driver Arigatosan. The protagonist of the third story Japanese Anna gets his wallet lifted by a young Russian girl. He rents the room right next to hers and is mesmerized by her peeping into her room. The fourth story is Immortality. An old man remembers his teenage years sitting under the tree that his girlfriend committed suicide under.
