[Introduction]
From Giuseppe Tornatore, the acclaimed director of Cinema Paradiso, comes an epic saga of life and death, love and hatred, spanning 40 years in a vibrant Sicilian town.

[Synopsis]
Following the life journey of Peppino Torrenuova from his upbringing as a high-spirited cowherd’s son in the ’30s, to his forbidden romance and marriage to the beautiful Mannina and culminating with his tumultuous and comic political career... and home life, Baarìa is a humorous and often heartbreaking tale of small-town family dynamics. Baarìa delivers an epic slice of life and all of its many facets-a journey full of emotion and sentiment, epic and nostalgic, comic and tragic, a world so far from ours but surprisingly so close.
