World Cinema section brings together films which have been much talked at film festivals
such as Berlin and Cannes this year, and established directors'
new films which had no plans of being released in Japan as of August.
Award winners at Sundance and Rotterdam at the beginning of the year,
which then collected attention at film festivals across the globe,
or competition entries at Locarno and Venice that became a topic of conversation,
along with a clay animation which won the Annecy International Animation Film Festival top prize,
and by maestros Ken Loach and J Tornatore are lined up. Core film fans would especially enjoy this section.
